My 5 Favorite Ways To Stay Fit

Yay! We’ve made it to September. How long does it feel since all those ‘get your body bikini ready’ challenges we’re bombarding us before summer? The minute I get bored with my workout routine, I stop making time to go the gym which is the worst thing I can do with a growing bump and hormones that need an outlet! With that, I’m sharing my five favourite workouts that are scalable, loads of fun and will cater to pregnant women with varying levels of fitness.

If you’re looking for variety, then this is it. F45 stands for functional training in 45 minutes. They’ve developed 27 different workouts, and their studio in Dubai Marina offers the same class at various times throughout the day. Each day of the week offers a different 45-minute workout. Each exercise can be scaled depending on your ability and strength which is what I appreciate. While it’s ideal to have a good level of fitness before joining in one of the classes, I would recommend Loyals, Romans or Pegasus which are more resistance than cardio based. I adore water based workouts, and Aqua Spinning is ideal during pregnancy. With a gentle resistance and the ability to have a full body workout without the tedious length of the pool back and forth is great especially in the morning. The weightlessness you feel in the water, and the ability to cater to your level of fitness all while staying cool has been invigorating. Bonus: You can book it on GuavaPass!

Another great facility on GuavaPass, Define offer a few different classes but I’m so hooked on Body that I haven’t yet tried the others! It combines Pilates, yoga, ballet and core strengthening techniques, coupled with easy to use equipment.
